I am wondering do people have boost mode always on?

Yes, I always have on the boost mode on, I don’t see any good reason not to. I regularly get 500-600 shots per battery at a minimum, sometimes much more.

another yep. spare batteries are small and cheap.

I turn on boost when I think I need it - which is infrequently.
