I mainly use DX lenses nowadays, and use them on my FX, DX, and CX cameras (the latter are the discontinued Nikon 1, which need an adapter, of course).
The two I use most are the Nikon AF-P 70-300 VR, and the Sigma 100-400 C.
Sharpness is excellent, weight surprisingly low, and their cost very affordable.
No great difference in focusing speed, and the VR is possibly a little better in the Nikon than the OS in the Sigma, but no huge differences.
But as the headline is Blackbird Bokeh, that where things differ, a lot!
I love the light and compact AF-P 70-300 VR, but a Bokeh master it is not!
The Sigma isn't anything outstanding in this respect, but it sure wins hands down.
Two examples from today with a blackbird caught my attention, where the distant ridge looks very weird in the AF-P shot (only PP done on either is exposure correction and cropping).

Noticed similar issues before, but these two were shot with just a few minutes in-between. And the bird is the same bird, in the same spot, and I sat in the same seat.
