What is fake about this picture? Did you delete some poor cows out of it?I am breaking down. I am not a purist anymore. There are many powerful landscape software available that can turn a non interesting photograph into the look of a dreaded post card. Here is an example of a fake cloudy sky.
The entire sky got replaced It was a bland simi cloudy day. Funny, I told the cows to go away. What is fake about this picture? Did you delete some poor cows out of it?I am breaking down. The entire sky got replaced. Did he know how to cut and paste?Yes, but all photos are post processed even in film days. Ansel Adams did it back then.

Just like I responded to the other curious posters, the entire sky got replaced. Those are fake clouds. Sorry, I wanted to post the original as well, but it was so plain that I deleted it.Hi Wasserball,
Am curious. Did the software enhance what was in the image, or create something that wasn't in the image?

thanks, AM
It was never my intention to deceive. I suspect in competition, there are certain rules you follow, maybe not. I am beginning to accept that photography is no longer a medium to transfer what I saw to what you see. There are powerful software that can change an ugly face to one that can grace a magazine cover, body software that can transform a fat person into a Jack LaLanne fitness guru, You no longer need to be versed in photoshop to make drastic changes. That's what I am saying. A photograph is just a base for you to become an artist.I think it boils down to whether you are telling viewers things are real whennthey aren't, especially in competition. Do what you want. After all it's art. Just don't pass it off as documentary or journalism. If it's art try to evoke a feeling, then I say anything goes.

I think this is my 5th time to answer that. Yes, it is stock. It is fake, It replaced the original bland sky. It looks very dramatic.or were the clouds a stock image you composited in?

And don't walk in front of a moving bus.
Unless it's going backwards.
Then walking in front is the smart move.

Who cares what other people use, how they faked it, or why they do it? Just worry about your own photography. Be as authentic as you want to be, tell your own stories, and choose your own adventure.
