What's your definition of dramatic? If it is lighting search for chiaroscuro. Visit with the masters like Caravaggio , Rembrandt, or Leonardo for inspiration.

I am at my nascent stage. I am at month 3 of a 24 month journey to learn to capture light. These are unprocessed. For me I just take what comes from the camera adjusted using my x-rite colorchecker passport. Every once in a while I may crop one or two. I study my results and incorporate improvements into my next shoot so I can improve what comes out of the camera. I know LR & PS but I really don''t want to invest my time post processing. Everything I do now except for the corporate style headshots for others is for my pleasure and enjoyment.
