Compact Camera that shoots video and can take pictures at same time.

I currently own the Sony DSC-HX80 and have used the Samsung WIFI camera (don't have model). The Samsung camera allowed me to take video and use the camera portion at the same time. The Sony does not unless I don't know how to set it. Looking for a compact camera that will do both.

Apparently RX100 (all series) can perform dual recording (still & video at the same time) as discussed in this old thread:

limitations present in MK1 may have been removed / reduced il later iterations (you might do a DPR or google search about that).

The Nikon 1 J series allows stills (but 16:9 jpgs only) while video is recording. I think there are a few other cameras that have similar capability, but I don't recall which.
