Just amazing. Its still almost impossible to find an X T2 with the lens and the camera was released in September! Anyone have any sources? I tried the big boys B&H, Adorama etc and the smaller retail outlets. I'm at a point where I need to buy a camera, and I can't continue to wait for much longer.

Try samy's camera in los angeles....i must have been lucky bc i went there in november of last year and they were able to get me the xt2 with the 16-55 lens...and it was the period when there was no sales tax....so i ended up getting the 23 f2 lens as well. Great combo...the big lens for formal events and the small one for travel. Both of these lenses are super sharp (and the 16-55 is quite expensive and heavy-but worth it if u care for quality).

My next purchase will be a decent flash that can do ttl and hss..but as of now the only thing that fits that bill is the fujifilm ef-x500 with roboshoot plus. I wish that nissin would be able to offer that (with their i60) since their air commander (1) looks pretty nice...

I love fujifilm, but in the flash department they are way behind canon, nikon, and even sony..which really surprises me bc i hear many photographers switching to fujifilm. Oh well...

Get the Metz M400. It has firmware upgrade to enable HSS and is within the price range of Nissin i40.

I had to wait a month, but I finally received my X-T2 and 16-55.

In fact, I received 2 16-55s and I am sending one back. You have to keep checking. The X-T2 is almost available every day from some retailer. In the past 2 weeks, Amazon has had this camera on and off. I think the other stores like Adorama and B&H never have it in stock because everyone they get goes to people that have pre-ordered. Amazon even had the 16-55 on and off the past week. This is how I ended up with two. It was looking like my B&H backordered might not make it so I placed a second order for the lens.

I ordered my 16-55 the last day of the last lens sale (12/24) and had to wait nearly two months for it.

Amazon. That's where I got mine.

Had an order with BH for over three weeks and finally got impatient and ordered through Amazon. If it shows they (Amazon) are out of stock, they will have more in 2-3 days. That's what happened to me.

Hahaha, as of this morning, Amazon is showing 1-2 months. Amazes me that Fuji can't get this together after so many months. Its funny that they are releasing the silver version of the same camera--good luck with that.

In the last several days the status of the X-T2 (body only) at B&H has changed from Back Ordered to More Coming Soon with expected arrival in the next 7-14 business days.

I've ordered one. Fingers crossed.

Good luck--seen that one before---they really don't know whats going on with Fuji--no real communications or any sense of the flow of the product. Remember there are a ton of people on B&H's waiting list so I hope you are near the top.

Looks like you can purchase body only right now from Best Buy.

For the body, it showed 1-2 months on Amazon on Feb 23rd. I woke up the 24th and they had nine in stock and ready to ship. They seem to be getting A LOT more than anyone else.

I haven't been tracking the 16-55

Agreed with David, good luck. I had the X-T2 kit on order with BH and it said the same thing (7-14 business days). I waited out the 14 business days and nothing changed. I canceled my order and purchased through Amazon.

Thanks Billy--I'm keeping an eye on them Trying to find a contact phone number for Fuji North America---Maybe they can find one for me---although I'm losing faith. Funny thing is we all want to give them our money and they are really not able to take it!

As of 12:25 PM on Feb. 28,

allenscamera.com, a Fuji dealer I have dealt with (who also has an actual store!) shows the camera in stock, but not the lens.

So does Midwest Photo mpex.com.

and Servicephoto.com

I did not spend time looking for the lens.

Thanks--I need the package--None of them have it.

Want to thank you all--finally got one (and they have one left in stock) from Service Photo in Baltimore MD. Its already been shipped and I'm one happy camper. I assume the other one is still in stock. Again, thanks to all you guys for your suggestion and I owe PhotoTeacher big time!

Glad it worked out for you. Did you also find a lens?

Go to the fujifilmusa web site. Look ash the products you want. When you click on one of the products like the X-T2 or 16-55 lens, you can click the where to buy button and it will show you has it in stock. I found this to be somewhat reliable, but it could give you an idea of who has some stock.
