I only wish I had opted for a d810 or something with a tilt screen since most kido shots I'm laying on the ground!

but the lens is what I've always wanted for this type of shot.

wish it was lighter 😊

Lovely shots, which do credit to this beautiful lens (and child of course)! :-)

YEs, great rendition & sharpness in the focused zone.

That's a pricey lens though....

Thank you guys!! It was pricey but I bought second hand vr1 version for 2900, so once I sold my 135 that I was trying so hard to get this look with it lessened the blow 😉

I'd stop down the lens to show more of the foreground and background. With long and fast glass like yours it's easy to have too much blur.

Very nicely done. One of the many benefits of the "fat boy" is the ability to isolate.

Great shots!

Great stuff, especially like that last one. The Bokeh on that lens is just amazing.

Very nicely done. You've got a good eye and good ideas. I'm curious - why do you wish for the D810? Not satisfied with the D610?
Thank you guys! Yes I could stop it down some in the future, I'm just getting used to it now.

no the the 610 is just fine! I also have a Sony a7r and I miss the flip up lcd when using the 610, I think the 810 has that.

the only reason I miss it is, when shooting children and trying to get a little of the foreground out of focus I have to be really low, and without a flip up lcd that means I pretty much have to lay down to see the screen and frame it the way I want.

thats the only reason

The only full frame Nikon with a flip lcd is the d750.

Ridiculously good shot and sharp too.

Nope. The D750 is the only full frame Nikon that has the flip screen at this point in time.

Beautiful images dtray!

You have me lusting for the 200 . . . unfortunately . . . my pocketbook doesn't share the same lust!!!

Enjoy your new lens!

Best,

Congrats, only thing g not to like about it is the size and weight. Am sorry I sold mine but I didn't use it that much because of these 2 issues...
