The new font for message content is hard to read for me versus the old font choice.

The new font needs to be thicker (more bold) and darker (more black--less gray).

Example websites for easy reading are:

Imaging Resource,

The Digital Picture,

Fred Miranda (white on gray BTW),

Photo.net,

PBase.com (black on gray BTW),

Google News,

BBC News,

USA Today, etc.

Changing the entire DPR site to this new font as you have started will be an unfortunate quality degradation. Where it is more bold it is fine.

Simon or any DPR staff, if you have research that demonstrates the superior readability of your new font, please cite it.

Simon or any DPR staff, if you have DPR user complaints about the older font, please refer to them and their frequency.

Love the new font. Change is good and actually thinner text, to a point , is easier on the eyes.

I see a difference between browsers. In Chrome it is extremely light. In Firefox it is darker. iPad is even darker. I hate reading and using it in Chrome.

Thank you, Olga for your observation. I have been using Chrome for the past 9 months and will try switching back to Firefox.

Hate the new font, too hard on the old eyes. I'd like to go back to black but I can't find the alleged 'cookie.'

Olga, thanks again. Firefox displays the font in a larger, tighter spaced and darker/higher contrast form. Much easier to read.

Tried changing font preferences, size, etc. in Chrome to no avail. Guess I am not smart enough to figure this out.

Have used both Firefox and Chrome satisfactorily until now. Each has their advantages and disadvantages. Guess I'll be using Firefox for DPR.
