An a7RII RAW image

lovely conversion but turn the NR sliders (except detail) one to the lowest, it`s acting like an AA filter

Quick download just to see what happens when they are pushed to the extremes. Loaded into LR and added full shadow recovery plus a stop to exposure - shadows were remarkably clean.

Went back to a Canon image, pushed the same amount and the poor shadows dissolved into their usual noise.

Really looking forward to getting my hands on mine now ... :)

How did everyone get the files to open in Lightroom? My computer says I have the latest version of Lightroom CC and I see no way to update it further. Thanks!

All CC apps that use RAW conversions have the update available as of an hour ago.

I am extremely impressed with the IQ of the 3200ISO shot. Seems more like an 800ISO out of a 5DMIII.

The lightroom CC has not been updated yet. The stand alone version seems to have been updated.
I have the CC version and it was updated.
I tried multiple times restarting the CC version, even asking for updates and I see no updates. Is it because I am in the UK and you are in the US?

Thanks for trying to help.

OK got it now. I am on windows and I had to kill manually all the adobe processes from the task manager to force a complete restart of CC desktop app.

Thanks for all the help.

See if you can rescue them...
I just used Sony's not-so-great Image Data Converter and those highlights aren't blown - there is a lot of detail in the sky and the shadows are very clean. The whole photo is very clean.
Red channel is not saturated. Both green channels have large numbers of saturated pixels, and the blue channel does as well. Whether this is a problem is a matter of esthetic judgement.

But the really strange thing is all the blue values below nominal zero (512).

Strange indeed. They seem to be sprinkled around the image, with values ranging from 0 up to nominal black. They also seem to have an inverse relationship to neighboring pixels; the brighter the pixel they neighbor, the lower the blue pixel value. Sensor blooming correction? New strange compression artifact? Raw-based CA/fringing correction?

There also seem to be a strong row correlation when they occur, where near-by blue rows aren't affected.

I had no problem pulling the skies down.

Can I stress these are Photo Ninja default settings.

I was criticised last time I posted a processed RAW for bad processing, software default!!!!.
