Got some NX1 info.

point, FF is niche market and not for everybody. if no use for it and cannot handle camera and do not know what you are getting, DO NOT BUY. I find it funny some people try to downplay FF unnecessarily just to justify APS-C.
That pretty much goes for anything. M43 vs APS-C, the most recent 1" vs larger sensors. Us vs. Them. People are competitive and want to be right and on the winning side--that's why sports and competitions have been popular for as long as there's human history. Now that translates into wearing team jerseys and yelling at fans of other teams or typing opinionated know-it-all posts on anonymous on-line forums :D

To each their own, of course, and I see nothing wrong with more options. If Samsung decides to do a FF camera without neglecting its NX line as a result--great! (though I hope they'll do better advertising it).

Sony is only one make mirrorless FF? Really? Since when?
I dont want to be offensive, but could you tell me which company is making Fullframe(36x24) mirrorless? (Please dont tell me that Leica M is Fullframe mirrorless...Yes literally it IS a FF mirrorless..But come on...this is not the point)

Just look to your right "Most popular cameras" there it is: Sony Alpha 7R

Yes discounting Leica means that Sony would be the only producers of FF mirror less cameras.

I suppose you could argue they are the only producers of mainstream mirror less FF cameras as Leica is quite a specialised brand.....

then what is your point? I believe it is just proper to get information correct, otherwise you should not have added such statement in first place.

besides, point of raw jaw in particular is FF consideration, does not matter if mirrorless or not.

Though Agree the Leica are full frame but not taken seriously by most, due to cost and functions, it is.

However RawJaw wasn't talking Mirrorless. He meant Want a Full Frame Camera period.. not full frame mirrorless, as he used to shoot Nikon and I assume is on the Nikon side of the Nikon/Canon war.

It would have been more proper to say go DSLR, which is what I believe in the context of the comment he meant.

Announcement during the next 10 days?

Even though I've grown to be something of a Samsung cynic these days, this sounds exciting. The reasons for not being much of a believer in Samsung these days are obvious. There are few product announcements (especially products that are interesting to me or your average photography enthusiast) that take ages to arrive on the market and when they do, availability is poor and review sites don't get copies of the products for reviewing. I hope Samsung can change all this and releases a great product that we can actually buy and see reviewed.

What specifically are you talking about? It's not at all obvious. Moreover, NX30 is an enthusiast camera.

Basically he's saying , they announce it you don't see it for a further six months , then nobody has any and no one reviews them .

It's like Samsung doesn't actually want to sell this stuff. The whole effort is half hearted.

If Samsung can manage best in class IQ for APS-C sensors with this camera count me in. I am really excited for this camera!

The have shown some capabilities to learn from their errors earlier. So I read this as "it was like.."

yes, thats the way its seems to me as well. I think they produce and market for the Korean consumer, and , if they happen to sell some left-overs to the rest of the world, well thats ok too but dont worry too much about that.

Of course weve heard about the top end camera rumours for years now, wonder it this time it will make an appearance. Something to offset the endless supply of pink girlie cams they pump out

Large part of reason why Sony escaped with electronic company stigma is acquisition of minolta which made transition of perception much easy. They used sony-minolta name first before decide to drop minolta name after getting user-base. Samsung though follow different approach by form temp partnership with pentax before going its own way. They did not establish user base when they went solo. If they bought pentax, they might have got pentax user base and avoid stigma.
I totally agree. But it also takes a couple of class leading products to get there. I personally believe, among others, the RX100 played a great role for Sony in building their image as a "camera producer". Every single review you look at lists RX100 as the best premium compact in it's era. Mark 2 and 3 carry the same flag as well. So they did come up with a product that became the icon, the "benchmark" in it's class. Very much like Panasonic FZ200...

Samsung, unfortunately, does not seem to prioritize that, although they are more than capable of. They prioritize pushing their Tizen OS (despite being the single handed biggest android device producer in the world) at the cost of condemning their users to next to none developer support and huge firmware updates every time they decide to fix a little bug. They pull PR stunts claiming to be open source, but being "open source" practically amounts to nothing unless they reach the critical mass (certain amount of units sold / in use). They simply have other, bigger plans compared to our "photographer/videographer" concerns...

The best camera I own at the moment is a NX2000 (obviously, I am not a professional photographer). In my humble opinion, it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Mostly because the kit cost me just $200+s&h :P

NX2000, by all means, is an utter delight. And it is sad to see this perfect product being highly underestimated (even ridiculed), just because it bears the name "Samsung". But in the end it is up to Samsung to remedy the common misconception, and they don't seem to be doing much about that...

I don't need FF but I would like to see Samsung come out with a rangefinder style NX!
