Here are a some quick snaps from today. I intentionally included the sun and it seemed to handle the flare quite well.

I had to go to downtown Toronto today and brought the camera along. I shot a few out the window of the car while I was stuck in traffic.

I got mine today along with an EOS 700D, weather outside has been rather awful, so I haven't got any real chance of playing with it but from my limited testing it looks like my guess was confirmed:

10 mm on 700D outperforms 17-40L on a ff with a wide margin.
