I’ve had this camera for just about 2 weeks now. I am a super beginner in the world of photography and was amazed at how quickly I was able to understand most of the features. I quickly purchased a tripod to help with night shots and longer exposure shots.
The quality of the pics are beyond excellent and unless you are printing billboard sized photo’s, 4Mega pix are plenty! Battery life is extremely good! I took over 200 pictures and a 30second video, over 2 days, reviewed all the pics on the camera twice (1hr total) and downloaded all the pics to my computer, all on battery power, without having to charge it!!! My mom got a new HP cam for X-mas (8x zoom, $500type) and it was eating batteries left and right!! Construction is great, features are plenty and the hot shoe is a great addition. Bought this for $586 (includes s/h) from Ibuydigital.com.
Problems:
Can’t think of any complaints! It’s not a super-ultra compact camera, but then again, it has 100times more features than a small camera would have too. I’ve read somewhere on here that the power-on feature could easily be bumped and turned on. I’ve never had this happen, so it’s more how you carry/handle your camera.
