I bought this camera to replace a drowned SX10IS. The auto feature is absolutely useless as it has a mind of its own and is very difficult to override. Even in aV mode, the lens freezes and requires turning off/on. The picture quality is not as good and the buttons on the body are too sensitive. The Zoombrowser software is very wonky and always shows error messages that Canon says is OK. Fortunately my previous camera is now working so I will go back to it and the old software. What an expensive, under-performing upgrade.
