v2 FW Upgrade question

Before I upgrade to v2 software, I would like to know if all the custom settings are reset to factory default. If this is the case, is there an easy way of generating a listing of these? Alternatively backing up the settings in the EOS Utility and then restoring them after the upgrade?

Your custom settings should all stay the same.

Yep, you'll have to set the date & time, but that's about it.

I keep a list of the changes I've made to my Custom Functions.

It's actually pretty easy, you just go each main section and write down the one you've changed which are listed in blue at the bottom of the page

i.e.
C.Fn I
6-1
7-2
C.Fn II
1-1
3-1
etc.

The only settings I needed to make after the upgrade were date and time. Custom, micro-adjust and all other settings were unchanged.

Thanks all. It seems like there should be an easier way of printing or saving to a backup file all the custom settings, C1, C2, C3 etc.

This works though. I will try the update.

All of your previous settings in C1, C2, And C3 will remain as they are now. The update will not touch them.
