Hi here!
Was thinking to share some of my M9 portraits after owned it in 3 month.

Gotta say I that I am really happy with this camera, been used M4-P and M6 plus loads of medimformat but the M9 will stay for my choice for digital.

Here is the portraits, hope u enjoy!

Thanks for looking,
Jonas

I like to see a little more contrast. :o)

Could have sworn the second image was from a roll of film when I consider the overall rendering; but the blown highlight on the subject's face gives it away as it looks more like the way digital "manages" the highlight clippings.

That aside, what is striking first and foremost is your lovely model and the half body turn in this second image is almost right out of the modelling textbook. A lovely photograph.

Jonas,

Very stylish poses, I like 3 and 5. The processing is different from what we usually see here much softer, but I think it works.

The overexposure on No. 4 lets the image down a touch I think.

Best wishes,
Paul

why did she take your M9? My wife never touches my M9 :)
Hi,
You mean the image she is holding a Leica? Its my dad´s M4-p:)

But the model with the glasses liked the Leica much, she is also a photographer:)

Thanks for the comments! :)

Thank you for the comment!

Yes, it was shot inside with sky in background blowing out, not a seriouse portrait but I like it still.

Jonas; this is a very enjoyable set! My favorites are #1 (with more contrast and stronger somposition) and #5. This lady has a superb "presence" and IMHO, a great bone structure!... I would have loved to shoot her! ;)

Looking forward to see more of your work,

Regards,

Thank you:)

The PP was very fast like on all my M9 pics, just saturation to zero and little curves until it look close to what I get from film. M9 lens/sensor results stuns me:)

I am stunned by your post-processing... your extensive experience with film shows as you have processed these to emulate it so well. I believe the lack of contrast is key, but whatever fine adjustments you've made to the curves are perfect. Well done! As somebody else pointed out, this is not the usual thing we see around here...

Nice shots, but it's more about a particular PP style than the M9. Any decent digital camera lens combination could have produced these files before processing.
