I ordered an "open box" camera and I am curious about the number of shutter actuations to get some idea how much the camera may have been used. Does anyone know of a way to determine this on a 1D Mark IV? I did a search and it appears that the most recent reply to a similar question is 18 months old and it applied to compact cameras not the 1D series. Thanks.

Only Canon can tell you this.

If you ever send the camera in for some reason be sure that you request your shutter count number in writing, they will not include it otherwise....

THIS IS GREAT USED ON MY MARK IV 6981 SHOTS TAKEN. THANKS.

Well, I received the Mark IV and tried both EOSCount and EOSImage. EOS Count worked well and quickly and gave me a shutter count of 1936 but I could not get EOS image to work on the 1D Mark IV.

It works for me and agrees with my "manual" counting of how many I have taken. Only issue I had was it tokk about 4 minutes to display the numbers after connecting the camera, so sorry for emails to Sergey.

What OS are you running? I tried it with Windows 7 (64 bit) and XP, but it keeps crashing...
