X10 sample pictures from Fujifilm

Fantastic samples. Resolution seems to have been sorted.
Of course we wait to see what higher ISO images are like.
Macro gives a lovely shallow DOF.
Very tempted by this camera...

I ordered an X10 when Amazon dropped the price so I've been looking for something to confirm the camera's performance and these images are not half bad ,sharpen up well and I like the colour.

I wonder why there are no images with flesh in them or high ISO ?

These are superb !

but lack outdoor shots in colour natural light,
please M Fuji

also I wish it would be the one I still have some doubts about the little Gem, maybe the X100 is the one to go for after all.

I will for sure wait and see how it comes out in all sorts of photographic situations, the one they posted are not saying to much and I think its missing a bit detail (could be wrong or expecting to much).

Notice how both the shots that would benefit from Fuji's EXR DR Mode are B&W? Lets hope it's not as poor as the DR on the F550/600.

Paul.

Typical Cop-Out closeups as usually supplied by manufacturers when they have no confidence in the image quality of their products - not a single normal outdoor landscape in sight (no I don't class the stylized no-detail B&W shot as one)

The cheapest of cameras look great in images like these .

C'mon Fuji have the balls to show proper stuff which we can actually see how its better than one of the £50 J series

Nothing to rave about, imo. Need to see more, but those samples could have been taken with any decent recent camera. All about this shots is lighting and subject. Nothing to test technical abilities.

There are couple of wide angle, ISO and focal length test shots in Fuji Thailand Forum and they looked good even at 100%.

Here is one...

Hi Adam,

Take a look at these pictures. I know it is extremely difficult to capture these night shots with my F200exr.

The lens sharpness is impreassive to me.

No I will strongly disagree with those that they say all these samples as cop-out from fuji…

They have the right look for a really good lens, a really, really good color rendition, a really, really good jpeg engine…

And finally everybody knows that a demonstration of an f 2, small sesnrored camera (that means smaller than APC), will shine in macro shots, and these are really GOOD, and everybody knows how better will be in RAW…

And the B&W shots show blown highlights....so it's still hard to tell.

Gotta wait for some better samples. Would it have killed them to take a shot of a street scene or something with foliage so we can get an idea of the real IQ...instead of images on a plate with most of the shot lost to DOF?

Yeah, the lens is rather slow on the F200 and the IS may as well not be there - great shots as usual Danny but I'm sure you'd have done at least as well with an EX1 or XZ1 .

they do by Fuji EXR standards anyway (still a ton of NR in there at base ISO as expected with CMOS - canon's rather lame S100 has a load too) - why can't Fuji post proper stuff like this ?
