Canon G12 "Getting Started" Guide

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can download the 35 page "Getting Started" Guide for the Canon G12? Can someone please send it to me in PDF format if you have scanned a copy on your computer?

I have the Book "Canon PowerShot G12 - From Snapshots to Great Shots" by Jeff Carlson. It does a good job covering the basics for a beginner to more advance features.

I need to clarify that I want the Canon "Getting Started" Guide that is included with the camera. I lost it and would like a copy of it. I went to the Canon website and it is not available for download. The 200 page manual is there. But I have that and don't need it. I just need the Canon "Getting Started" Guide.

Strange, they don't have the Getting Started Guide at the Canon G12 support area. However, read the Getting Started portion of the pdf manual that came with the camera on the installation disk (pgs 12-37: "Getting Started").

If you don't want to read that portion of the manual, I suggest you call Canon Tech support. I'm sure they'll tell you how to get or download a copy of the guide.

If you download the manual from the support area of the Canon website, the first few sections are basically the same as the getting started guide

I have used all of David Busch's guides on my dSLR's. I also have his G12 book. It is excellent. Here is the link:

As a point of interest, I have contacted Canon Support and they could not locate that particular guide. There is a part number (CDI-E429) but I could not find it searching.

I have a combination of the Getting Started Guide and the User Guide in one PDF.

Page 1-36 is the Getting Started" guide and the other bigger guide follows. I print these booklets, two-sided with two pages on each side.
