Somebody please help me. I am out of control. I can not help myself. Talk some sense into me.

I believe OLY color is flat, I find myself increasing saturation all the time. I don't want to end up helpless and hopeless on PhotoSig.

Did I murder this picture, or what?

I do agree that the C-2100's colors are "flat", and I'm often forced to bump them up a bit. However, my C-700's colors are quite vivid and saturated depending upon the in camera settings I use.

I'm in the same camp as you....I like SOME pics oversaturated......the pic you've posted looks good to my eyes.....love the blue.

...don't know, Rich...this image looks great to me...love the deep "Rich" colors...(giggle)...and the detail in the gate and gravel and pilings...
...but I wasn't there, and don't know what it looked like in real life...

...you definitely did not murder this one!...very nice...any invites?...do we get to use the boat?...
...thanks,

I too find the olympus cameras to be al little flat, though a quick auto-level in photoshop usually makes them look very nice. I think this is common to all of the oly cameras, as we did test prints at work of all our floor models, and all the olys came out this way, as does my C-3000z when I am playing with it at home.
I'm with you -- a li'l boot here and there for contrast and
saturation usually helps. As some ancient dude once said, "Practice
moderation in all things -- including moderation!".

That's a really nice pic Ice9 !.. I love the wrought iron gates on the pier and the sky..

Oly's colours tend to be neutral, I DO tend to bump up contrast a bit with the E10 and Ezi however..

I can see you joining Willa in buying a Cyborg Sausage as a main camera, well saturated high res pin sharp landscapes are one of the 707's specialities, it should fit in nice alongside the 700 and make a good pairing and you get to do neat IR stuff too - If you already have a B300 for the 700, it works well on the Sony from all accounts too:)

Rich,

You are always good for (minimum) of a major smile - great way to start the morning! I really like it, if I'm ABSOLUTELY brutal, I'd say maybe step it down like 3 points on the PS 100 point scale, but then it might not be be PhotoSig material.
