I started to see the write time to my A-Data 32 GB SD card increase on my HS-10. After checking New Egg's web site, I ran across the following link to the SD Association's web site for a free SD formating utility. I tried the utility and it produced noticeably faster write times. As the disclaimer goes, your results may vary. Be sure to download the manual.

Is A-data 32gb running ok with hs10?

I have Transcend 32gb sdhc and after a few dozen shots it is loosing format and all the photos :-(
Could you give the exact model of your a-data card?

I had such a problem already and the official SD formatting utility solved it.

My A-Data SD card has no model number listed but is a 32 GB Class 10 card. Check the reviews at Newegg.com and the SD Association's manual. The formatting utility seems to be solving many issues. Much like low level formatting a hard disk drive.

I always formatted my cards using the in camera formatting and Windows but they grew slower over time. The SD Association does not address in-camera formatting. Their statement reads "The SD Formatter formats SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards optimizing with these card’s performance etc.. It is strongly recommended to use the SD Formatter to format SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards rather than using formatting tools provided with operating systems. In general, formatting tools provided with operating systems can format various storage media including SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards, but it may not be optimized for SD/SDHC/SDXC Cards and it may result in lower performance than using the SD Formatter".

To answer one of the previous questions, yes the A-Data 16 and 32 GB Class 10 cards are working fine with the HS-10.

The formatter prepares the card properly IAW association format structure. Then the camera sets up the file structure needed for that particular camera.

Thank you Don for information about SD formatter.
It helped, my 32gb sdhc now is running OK.

I performed full format with overwriting the whole data space by sd formatter (took more than 1 hour), and then, right after, one more format by hs10 (maybe not necessary).

Finally I filled the card totally with pictures and movies by hs10 with no signs of any arrors.
Thank you

after you have formatted the card with SD FOrmatter , why have you repeated the format with HS10?

Just in case, to make the FAT and directory structure exactly what the hs10 needs.
I am not sure if this was really necessary.

As I understand the problem, SD formatter in overwrite mode cleared the whole data space and the FAT space, but the FAT and/or directory structure could be not exactly in form expected by hs10.

I cannot justify it more, I am not an expert in this field. Anyway, 16 gb transcend sdhc has not needed any special treatment, unlike the 32 gb sdhc (transcend as well)
