Very observant Adam... the "gang" here is a collection of real-life losers who feed of the cyber-praise of one another. In other words... they don't have a real-world life so they come here to seek acceptance by telling each other how great they are in the hopes that their cohorts will return the favor.

The reason I ask is because from reading the remark about I.Q., I
didn't get the visceral reaction that others did, in fact it sounds
a lot like many of the quips, jabs and joking remarks that are
regularly exchanged on this forum, especially between tim, ergo, KK
and others.

Fled isn't one of the 'Clique' here so I guess that it was
interpreted as an insult just as if I'd said it or someone else not
in the "gang"..

I couldnt agree more, BAH. As I spent 20 minutes typing only to lose the message i had written when the site wouldnt post it......I will now BRIEFLY recap what I typed.

1. This forum is one big clique.

2. I dont give a rats ass about Ergo's 60th birthday, his 60th day doing whatever, or any symbolism the number 60 has.

3. Fled may have been a jerk before, but you know what? I have seen plenty of jerks on this forum. They are the most hippocritical people here.

4. This forum is for learning...Had i wanted to resort to stupid name calling, bickering and back and forth garbage, I would have joined AOL and hopped into the teeniebopper chat room.

It will be funny to see what happens when this becomes a pay site. Here is my prediction. The only people that will pay are the ones in the stupid clique. they will be the only ones left which will make them see how idiotic they have been. If this forum wasnt such a "club for the hippocritical" 2-3 times the people would be submitting their VALUABLE input for us to learn. Photosig is looking better and better each day.

Ah yes, no more one liner responses, threads that I have to translate from another language to english, appliances(sure it was funny, THE FIRST TIME), and most of the garbage that comes from this place. Man, it would be nice. I would bet 35-50% of the posts on here do nothing for anyone except run up your post count(yay for you). It used to be that when you were new to a forum you could check the profile of a user and if they had a ton of posts it usually meant that they helped people out on the forum and people actually learn something from them...Here, it is the opposite. if I see someone new, it is almost magnetic. I follow them now. I learn more now.

It would be easy to think that, as there is somewhat of a closer group within the group (I don't know if 'clique' is the right word (and no, I'm not in it) but I thought it was more of someone feeling that a friend needed defending and rushed to his aide, and I thought (at first) that he did so a bit harshly. What I later learned (and was reminded of) is that the reaction was based on established history; Fled has positioned himself in the past as an unrepentent flamer of the first degree. It is this history that illicited the seemingly incongrueous response. It seemed odd to those who were unfamiliar (or forgetful) because of this. In light of all of his responses to this thread, I have decided that Tim is dead-on about FledHole's intent, although posting this thread probably served FledHole's purpose far more than Tim's.

personally I don't care whether there are cliques here. I don't mind making a big deal about ergo's birthday,more power to him (happy birthday ergo) What bothers me is judging photos by who submits them rather then the photos own merits.

I could name examples but I don't want to make that person feel bad. But a member of what I call "the good ole boys club" submits a less then excellent photo you guys (in the good ole boys club) have a orgy tripping over each other waiting to compliment it (a frequent patting each other on the back session)

I could submit a photo of a barn and get no replies from the good ole boys but jave Bob S submit the same photo and the orgy begins.

I would suggest you follow Bob S's style. He's one of the good ole boys but doesn't jump on the band wagon everytime another good ole boy submits a less then satisfactory photo. Could I have you people I mentioned in the subject address this ? thanks,Bill
