Great stuff!
  1. 1 and #2 are classics! Could you enlighten me - your photos look so nice and crisp... Something I have always the problem to get with RAW conversion - I just can't match the sharpness from out-of-camera JPGs. I am using LR 2.5 - do you have some other software to recommend?
Going back to look them again :)

Thanks very much, Dinko.

I always shoot in RAW and fix my shots in Photoshop CS2. Then, I convert them to B/W in Silver Efex Pro; but you can go through this process also in PS and other programs.

I also have LR 2; but as I have been working with PS for quite sometime, I don't use LR at all and have no experience with this software that seems to be excellent for those who are used to it. I think one of the most important things in PP is to work with different layers!

Thanks for the tip... When I want to fine tune my photos, I always use Photoshop, but to 'develop' lot of photos, LR is much more convinient, thugh it has its limitations.

The most difficult thing to obtain is sharpness for me. Recently I am playing with high pass sharpening technique in PS, and this finally looks satisfying on DL4 photos.

Thank you for your input :)

You are right; high pass is a marvelous technique that allows you to sharpen with less noise. Just remember, when you double you layer, before going to high pass, first desaturate you upper layer to have less "color noise"! ;)
