LX3 Prices, Any help?

I am in the market for LX3. Please advise of a good price.

$440 is average price now (this week). If you get one under $400 its a steal now. $499 is MSRP.

jtml either knows of the real deal - or he had some trouble calculating the average price.

I am afraid, you won't get the LX3 for 400 bucks - not from a reputable dealer anyways, which in the end usually pays off!

If you take a look at Amazon than the average prize this morning was 473 bucks. And that doesn't take into account Adorama and B&H, who sell the LX3 for 499,-.

So the real steal right now is everything around 450,-, which even might be an introduction price that will go up again towards Christmas. If you take a look at the price development of the LX2 than you will notice, that it never went far below it's initial price.

I preordered from J&R yesterday and it shipped today at a competitive price. I also got the silver model, which seems to have been in scarcer supply from everywhere I could tell (except 17th st photo had them at retail price).

Onecall only has (had?) the black model, and they bumped up their price overnight by around $30
