Few samples from Wave area at Coyote Buttes, Utah. It is a beautiful area with very restricted access. As photos they are not much but but I was there for hiking not taking pictures :-)

Unfortunately weather was getting bad by the time we got to the most interesting places so the pictures are not as pleasing as at the beginning of the hike but the views was truly stunning

Made with D40 and kit lens

I will post more pictures from Zion, Bryce, Arches, National Bridges, National Riff ... :-)

Yes, the trip was great - nine full days of hiking 12 miles a day on average of stunning landscapes usually from the top and from the bottom.

The only problem with D40 is that it is hard to scramble over slick rock with it in your hand - you kinda need both hands sometime :-)

Wow, I am taken back by those rock formations. Incredible. Nice photos too, don't be so modest. That second shot has a dizzying effect on me :)

Yes, I believe "dizzying" is the term. Can't decide which one would be my favorite...All nice pictures...

I think it was formed by the wind. The whole area is like a funnel with very strong winds blowing sand. One time when I was climbing towards hidden arch, I was almost blown of the face of the rock D40 and all

This honeycombs are unbelievable deep and fragile. It is beautiful. I regret it was so cloudy and gray by the end of the day an my pictures does not do it justice. I have more of them and more interesting ones but they are not good - I tried to use flash to light the honeycomb but ruined white balance. I will try to fix it with Capture NX when I have time

here is a vertigo picture. I had to hang over the cliff a bit to take it straight down. It is Angel's landing at Zion

Thank you very much for all your kind words. It's a pleasure to share pictures on this forum!

As soon as I have a little bit of time, I will post some more Wave pictures and some interesting pictures from other Utah parks.

Observation Point, Zion

It is extremely well maintained and very safe in good weather. So if one does not have vertigo or scared of heights it is perfectly safe.

I have not heard of any mortalities but my brand new hat fallen a victim of a strong wind gust. I decided that trying to catch it in the air is not a very bright idea so I let it go.
