A strange morning in the tulip fields....

Hey Roman,

Your pix at Wooden Shoe have inspired me to give it another whirl tomorrow AM. Seems like when I have spare time lately, whether it's getting out to mow the weeds or get the camera out for the tulip festival, the big raindrops start to fall. Timing is everything.
Very nice shots! Keep em coming.

Where in Oregon are you going where the weather is that good? Now
I know you really are a photography god.
Naaa....have a LOMG way to go before I gain that kind of status...but thanks!!!
You must not have kids... or a job. How do you get out so much?
Have both....Work for the City of Portland, and have a 16 yr old I have a great relationship with. I get out appx 1 day a week to gather these images.....my last 2 posts were from Sundays outing.

Thanks again....

Hi, Roman,,,
Hi James....
The first and last are okay, but why the thin DOF..?
Thanks....but there is not thin DOF on the first and last ones. If your referring to the others...were talking about a 400MM lens and the D2X is limited to f/11 for diffraction purposes. Not every shot I shoot is for marketing purposes...but it dosnt mean that the shot dosnt tell a story....the human eye focuses much like that as well so I really dont have a problem with the DOF.....and wth the feedback I get....some do...like you...but the consensus is much stronger in the other direction.
I'd reconsider the spacing between lines in your border, as it's a
bit crammed, imo....
Again...some dont like it..but many more (including myself) do like the borders......many of my customers like it so much they order their prints with the border.....guess you cant please everyone. ; )
Thanks 4 sharing..!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Roman,

I keep coming back to this thread. Your first shot in this sequence is stunning. I check this forum nearly every day. And your shot is the best one I have seen here in a month or more. It is that good! You should print it big and show it off in your home. Even better, enter it in some contests.

A wonderful image!
