merci beaucoup;-))))))))))))

... and I still prefer the-oldie-but-goodie dpMagicCE one over it- but it just me and my taste :-)
Best and happy shooting and thumbnailing, JR

to load thumbnail views the first time you open a directory with lots of files in it, but after it creates a "thumbs.db" file they re-open very fast. It gets the orientation right on DNGs (but not PEFs; DPmagicCE doesn't get it right on either), and mouse-over on the files (or thumbs) gives basic EXIF info. A definite improvement for me.

Interesting.

I installed this and it had no effect whatsover. No thumbs.

I rebooted - no better.

I then uninstalled it. Uninstalled DPMagic. Reinstalled RSE and it burst into life.

Seems like a clash with DPMagic.

I have also found a few interesting behaviours.

I found that a couple of hours after installing it, the functionality disappeared. Rebooted, no improvement. Reinstalled it (it asked me if I wanted to "repair" an existing install) and it came back. Then disappeared again after an hour.

then I remembered that I had installed dpmagic about 6 months ago which had also died after I installed PixVue (for much improved exif info when selecting file-properties). I then gave up on RSE and reinstalled dpmagic and I have my thumbs back and they seem to be staying.

I really should clean up my computer some day. These programs must all be fighting with each other.

I'm not very computer savvy. I installed the freeware program and after wards can't find it. Do I have to start any program to access it? Thanks, Bob.
