Aiden wasn't due until 10/30 but toxemia and HELLP syndrome made an induced delivery immediately necessary. He was 10 lbs 6 ounces and 19 in long. Being six weeks early we and he doctors thought for sure he would have to be in the NICU for at least 2 weeks. He surprised all of us by not having to spend a single minute in the NICU. Another miracle was that a cesarean section wasn't necessary! He came out with Mom and Dad right away and has been with us ever since. He's going home with us on 9/23. Mommy and baby are doing fabulous.

Nice pics - he is very good size/weight for being 6 weeks early! Keep up the good work.

50mm 1.8 is good.... if you can get 1.4 THAT would be best!

10 lbs and 6 weeks early!!?? Are you sure you counted right?
hehehehe..... Whatever...

He looks great! Great shots. Congratulations
Yes sorry, I corrected myself in the second reply. 5 lbs 10 ozs...I was tired..well still am

The first two were with the 18-200 VR with SB-800. The last two are with natural light with 50mm f1.8. The natural light is great but I wasn't able to use it in the nursery and at night in the hospital room. Both work great together.

Congratulations, may the Lord's blessing be on him always! That weight is the exact weight my oldest son was when we took him home after being born two months premature almost 22 1/2 years ago. He was given very little chance to survive his first night and if he did it would be a long time before he would be well enough to leave the hospital. Ten days later he was home.
