Got my 400 Canon today at Best Buy (Update)

So it seems that mine was the first camera sold by Best Buy, nationwide. Perhaps we will never know for sure. It also seems that the Best Buy frenzy made Circuit City release theirs (at a lower price.)
I went back to my Best Buy and they matched it plus 10%.
My local Circuit City had one left in stock at about 2:30 PM.

On top of that, I had just gotten a new laptop at Sam's Club on Thursday and they dropped the price on it on Friday so I got that money back too.
A very profitable day so far.

Hopefully I will not have to post my receipt again to prove that I am not making it all up,

And that particular Best Buys (the one on Brookpark Rd) is the same one where the young sales buck was so fired up on selling me an IPOD and all the accessories that he managed to talk himself out of a sale.

I went to my local bestbuy today, and they have 5 in stock.

There is one on display and no one even looking at it.(strange, maybe people think its the original XT)
I had a chance to play with it and the grip feels almost the same as XT.
LCD much much better than XT.
Sarge lets say I want to buy one, if I tell them about the Circuit City price,

would they sell me cheaper? Or do I have to buy one first and then comeback next day and tell them about the price?

Haven't looked, but I will say that generally, the price-matching policy requires written evidence of competing prices. And I'd almost bet (almost) that the competing price must be available within the same local market.

$854.99. I just checked there website to see if it was in stock at my local store, it was, I took my receipt in to Best Buy, they called Circuit City to validate price and that it was in stock and gave me ~$52.00 credit.

So if you check the website and it's in stock at your local CC you should be in business. You don't have to buy it first for them to price match.

Yes. They will call CC to verify price and that they have it in stock but you can get them to price match when you buy.

I picked one up at Best Buy today after stopping there and at the Circuit City right next door earlier. When I went back I took a printout of the window from Circuit City's website where it shows the price when you add it to the cart. I asked before he got the camera out of the cabinet and he said no problem matching it and didn't even ask to see it again when he rang it up with the 10% difference included, so I got it for $849.99. He didn't call either, though the CC next door just had one that they were getting ready to put out on display along with a 30D they just got in.
