Curious who you guys look to for inspiration. Would prefer if you listed their web address so I can take a peek.

Thanks.

I looked at the Cambridge tutorials a few times and thought they were great. I had never looked over the images until this thread. Erm they are good stuff. I found myself several times watching another image come onto screen and just giving a soft little oh. Truly good stuff.

David Bailey, or the David Hemmings version of hoim in Blowup, was an inspiration, in the sense of getting me to want to be a photographer.

Eddie Adams -- I met him once in New York and he and I and maybe five others chatted for an extra hour after his lecture was over.

Boris Spremo, who is retired from The Toronto Star.

David Douglas Duncan, although I never travelled like he did.

Sorry about the lack of links.

Just thought I would add this for Mark Tucker fans. I've noticed that he has been adding a new image to his opening page several times a week. You won't find them on the site, but if you use http://www.marktucker.com you will get fresh ones often. Just stumbled on this---he hasn't added a new gallery for awhile, so I was glad to see fresh photos on opening page.

I would have mentioned Mark Tucker if I photographed people. He is at the top of the heap in portrait artists, regardless of their medium.

Mark Tuckers work is really nice...not crazy about the un-natural bluring though. I like his post process texturing. Alot of photoshop I see.
Cambridge also has some very good articles/tutorials.
Thanks for the links!

I have a few fav's but there on my home computer.
Off the top of my head is a portrait photographer of kids with an eerie edge...

Out of wedding photographers very few usa/uk. However that is a reflection of the limitations we have thrust upon us as wedding photographers.

There are photographers that take the couple out of a wedding scenario but in my opinion this doesnt work, there are those that make it a fashion shoot where everyone celebrates. The key to how many strings a wed photographer has to his bow is the diversity in his wedding album not the individual images, an ecommerce website in my opinion with no passwords is usually the nail in the coffin for the majority of wedding photographers. They may take a few good ones but mostly will be average.

Reportage wedding photographers must begin to realsize that arms flung around her spouse and close ups of flowers do not contitiute reportage anymore. Nor a bride being assisted getting into her dress by 4 bridesmaids..yawn. I dont like naming names they no who they are and my work reflects them anyway so why give them free publicity
