Interesting comparsion: D2H vs 1D II

You're right, and I've always agreed with Michael to be honest. Like him though, the temptation of Canon will always be within sight ....
I am sorry if you have already seen it before. I have seen too much
Nikon bashing lately and would like to offer another view from a
very renowned photographer here.

Canon IS what Apple could have been if they played their cards right. Innovative, daring, revolutionary.

hue... Since the three weeks you've been posting, you've managed to let your true colors shine through... You claim that you shoot Nikon, yet you've never posted a single photo... 45 posts since you've been here. What you really are is a canon troll disguised as a Nikon shooter attempting to push people over to canon...dispicable pos. You claim that you're a pro from NY...let's see something, anything from your 3 Nikon bodies you claim to own. canon coward...

Yves,

Yes he might not post... however, do you realise that there are guys (please refer to link) who still get berated for trying to clean the place up of people like this?

By the way Yves, I noticed on your newest photos that you have Yves Photographe rather than Photography - is that an error? If it is not, sorry :) just trying to be helpful - just wanted to point it out incase it took you a long time to amend :(

Dave, you're a genius! :) You've stumbled on a new term for consumer. A condumer. Let me suggest another iteration of the new word - Condumber. A condumber is one who acquires goods or services without using proper analysis or cognition. :)

Here is sample usage: A condumber just switched from Nikon to Canon based on the specs of an unreleased and untested camera. :)

Fine comparison, and a great choice of a camera.

My only doubts would be if you need high rez or high ISO work - I think that under the right conditions the D2H is as good as it gets - here's hoping they pull it off again with the D2X - they certainly have a good body, metering, flash and AF system to build on - which ain't a bad start!

I think this article is our "weapon" when we hear more BS from the other side of the fence, particularly about how behind Nikon's AF is!

As a former newspaper shooter with alot of sports shooting under my belt, I can tell you there's hardly any photog given the choice between the MK-II and D2H would choose the Nikon. The MK-II simply is the best all around digital camera for action ever made, period. You need proof look at any sports venues.

The D2H is a fine camera in it's own right but as of right now it is simply not as good as the MK-II.

Cheers

Cameras are kind of religious as you demonstrate.....

And what would you say if the next Nikon is better than the 1D-II - "hardly any photog given the choice between the Nikon and the MK-II would choose the Mk-II". I doubt it.
