DiMAGE Z3 hands on preview

Some onlineshop offer pre-order and the price
ranges from 450 - 499 euro.
http://www.eurodatec.de/product_info.php?products_id=166

399 EUR, that's 100 EUR under retail price. They have an eBay auction going as well, and I checked their feedback - it's like 99% positive with thousands of opinions, so I think they are a trustworthy site.

And they ship to Denmark (and probably any other EU country) for 18 EUR, that's a very fair shipping price (most .de sites charge 23 EUR).

If you had read the thread, you'd know that he didn't buy it anywhere... he got it from Minolta, as he's doing a ... preview.
only one word , wahhoooo
but where did you buy it ?
i didnt found it at any online store ??????

please respond quicky

No, I really mean 10x. I just want to compare if it's worse, that
the Z2's f3.7 at the same zoom.
That's quite difficult to test since you have no idea where the 10x should be. However, given the step down in apertuer toward long zoom ratio, I guess your figure if not correct but should be close.

Cheers,
Tom

Really? Are you sure :D
I'm pretty sure. And trust me, nowhere is worst than Thailand. We even don't have Scan Dual IV and Dynax 60 available yet. So have to sneak in from other countries like Singapore or HK. :-(

Cheers,
Tom

Thank you for your post minman,

I'm MOST interested in the shutter lag !!

I believe the picture quality is probably comparable to other cameras in this range. But the almost ZERO shutter lag claim from Minolta is the most exciting part of this camera... if true ;-)

Panasonic makes the same shutter lag claim for its new FZ s. Things are looking up!

Compatibililty with Kinsgton SD card is an issue.

IF it wasn't on the Minolta approved list...or if the card is faulty...no problem.......
Night movies without adequate lighting is almost assurdly poor with ANY digicam.
Was the WB issue in specific difficult circumstances?
All questions that need to be asked and answered.....

I wonder if he means "night movies" like he said, ie. shooting a movie at night, or using the camera's built-in NightMovie function.

About the SD - minolta speculated that the card might be too slow, and that could be the reason...

IF that's the case, Minolta needs to do what Nikon does and that is test cards for compatability and list the approved ones so that people don't purchase non returnable unusable cards. That is an imperative.

Thanks for all thoses informations about the new Z3.

About the Kingston SD card, are you talking about the basic Kingston SD card or the kingston Elite Pro SD card that is supposed to have the same performance than a sandisk ultra II sd card ( 10Mb/s) ?

Bye,
