Where I work, where do you work......

Bill,

From the outside, nothing special.....

From the inside, on a day like today....heaven!!

You're only young once, but you can be immature forever!

Last summer, I constructed the walk. The previous summer I constructed the steps and added the lighting.

This summer, I have to clean out that kidney-shaped area by the walk and turn it into a flower garden. I just cut down the dead tree in the center a couple days ago. I haven't decided whether to decorate or remove the stump. The little black post on the left is where my electricity is located. I have to install a light pole at the opposite
end of the new flower garden. That means I have to finish shoveling all the decorative gravel, dig a trench for the electric, a hole for the post, etc. Then we can start planting the flowers and shrubs. And this is Illinois. No. It's not a dry heat. On a good hot day, I have shed as much as 10 pounds.

Ohhh! You mean "Where am I employed?" I have a cubicle in a 3-story brick building alongside a state highway. This is much more photogenic.

You have to work outside in the heat, and the rain.
There are all those boats to keep track of and keep clean.
I am sure there are mosquito's around and other bug also.

Then you never know when there will be snakes or something like that coming out of the water to get you.

LOL very nice place to work.

I think it must have been standing to close to the paint shaker or something.

Now my question is how did they get that big arrow painted on the side of the building.................. ROTFLMAO

You go to a building everyday and do nothing, then you come home and work....
Now Marvin, from what I have been told, you are doing it wrong.

You go to your workplace and work, then you come home and rest and watch the wife mow the yard and bring you a beer..

Boy I sure hope my wife doesn't read this............

It looks cool at first, but I really miss having a window.

This is at Caltrans in downtown Los Angeles. The room has our Maintenance Dispatch, Freeway Service Patrol Dispatch, Highway Patrol PIO, and Freeway Operations, is open 24/7 managing all the freeways in Los Angeles County. 500 CCTV cameras, 104 changeable message signs, 20,000 loop detectors.
Thanks Bill, fun thread, but made me very envious!
Got a picture of where you work..... Lets see it....
I work in the building in the background The Fedex AFW Hub.

But that looks like that would be a fun place to work... I know there are not windows but I think it would still be neat.

I would love to put some messages on those signs.................... LOL
I am sure the state would not like it.....

That happened once during a tour; 'Pete Wilson for President" went on every sign for a few minutes. Someone got in a lot of trouble (not me)!
I am sure the state would not like it.....

I do three nights a week as the projectionist and if we're busy I double up in the candy bar at interval.
Too many nights like this and I'll be out of a job !

Work in the backyard is physical labor, except when I'm composing photos of my "work." Oh my wife usually mows the lawn, and keeps me supplied with cool drinks......and a list of all the other improvements she'd like. She retired a couple years ago. I told her I'd buy her a new lawn tractor with an automatic transmission so she could mow the yard......and she's doing it! I just have to trim up the areas she's not comfortable, like the steep sided ditch, under the bushes. etc. It's a good deal. As Mr. CC would say, "God, I love that woman."

I'm in the office building, not the boat...LOL

. . . because I just added you to my list of favorite artists on PBase. I'm going to spend more time browsing your galleries when I get a chance.

You have a very attractive family for starters. I also want to spend more time looking through your Southern California galleries, I'm a native of Los Angeles County.

Again, thanks very much for the kind words - right back atcha.

in the building on the right. The Humanities Building is nothing like the newer science, sports, and technology buildings on campus, but it's still not all that bad.
