Actually it's the exact opposite, the AF is very fast for a non USM-lens: The 35mm/2.0 uses an AFD, Arch Form Drive, motor which is faster than for example the motor used in the 50mm/1.8 II. But it gets kinda noisy when the AF starts hunting or travels a long distance, but this luckily doesn't happen often. Other than that, you can usually only hear some sort of "gritting" when it focuses. A very interesting sound that is.Nice shots. But how about the autofocus? Isn't it very slow?

Nice pictures.Nice light and sharp lense. Here are a few sample for those interested
Yep, the bokeh is indeed pretty smooth and as long as you don't stop the lens down too much there'll be no pentagon OOF objects. Mike Johnston ("The Sunday Photographer") commented the bokeh and general performance of the 35mm/2.0 like this: "Still, few lenses are so predictable or excellent in performance, and almost none have such consistently smooth and reliable bokeh." I tend to agree with him.It is really nice having a '50mm' prime. The bokai is really good,
very fluid (less the 5 blade apeture)
