After not being able to find the Konica QP paper anywhere else for a reasonable price, I called Costco and discussed their shipping charges.

They told me to order it and then call them back after I got it and they would try to get some of the charges refunded. I did it and received the paper (2 50 sheet packs of 8.5x11) the shipping was $24.00. I received both packs in one box shipped priority mail. I took the package to the Post Office and ask them what this package would cost to mail. They said $7.55 with no insurance or delivery confirmation. I then called Costco and told them. Today I received an email from them saying that had issued a credit to my card for $14.10. I don't know for sure how much they actually charged until I get a CC statement, but I'll accept these shipping charges, but will probably never buy anything from them again unless they learn how to do web marketing.

BTW, they don't list the 13x19 Konica paper any more.

I ordered a Braun ThermoScan Digital Thermometer complete with a Teddy bear and they charged me $5.03 for shipping. Are you a member?

Jim:

I just got an E-mail from Costco. They are going to credit the full shipping charges on my 6 packs of paper, plus credit the difference in cost that I paid and what I can now buy at the store. I am pleased with that and will just patiently wait and see if it comes through on my credit card. I think they were being more than fair, just took a while.

I am a menber for now, but probably not for long.

If you had ordered two thermometers, they would have doubled the shipping, yet shipped them in the same box. If you want to verify this go through the order process until it shows the shipping and then back out or cancel.

I'm not alone on this, many have experienced the same thing. Also, they charge sales tax on the shipping, not just on the merchandise. They also charge more online than they do in the store for the same paper. They are either a very shady outfit or have hired the wrong people to do their online selling.

Hey, maybe they got smart. 5 days ago ordered 4-50 Konica QP, shipping
was 37.95. Of course didn't order. Today same order, shipping $7.03!
Go figure. Well its $30 better. Dave

I purchased some 13 X19 and 11 x 17 from Costco early on. I would hope that they are merely out of it, not discontinuing it. Happy to hear that Costco's belated response is positive.

I've been buying at local Costco warehouses for decades. I love 'em. They always have the lowest prices around and actually have good service in their warehouse stores. (And they have really yummy very-berry yogurt sundays and the lowest gasoline prices in the city!)

This shipping-charge mess really disappointed me. They REALLY screwed this up and alienated many customers or prospects.

I just logged on. Shipping for one 50-pack was $4.66 while for 3 was only $5.26. It seems they've learned their lesson.
