Damm Adam, when did you let yourself go? Ok maybe you were not the most handsome guy here, but you do know what you are talking about when it comes to lens. You are very helpful when giving advice to others and have helped others save money on unnecessary spending on camera gear. Maybe we can get a collection together for a make over?

.. The Sig Pic is my attempt at "out Stacying" Mr Stacey (Is he still around) - looking at pics of lenses is boring in a Sig pic so, 'Ol Rygel, an even older EOS10 and a waterproof Sony will have to do ;-)--

LOL, you know me Ulysses, I speak my mind and let's face it, if Canon can't be bothered to add often moaned about minor features to their top of the line 1-series, I somehow doubt they'll bother for their "Digicam priced" bottom ender!Terse. Succinct. And unfortunately for the petition crowd, True.
Just speaking my mind again - Heck was the A1 a dissapointment, that thing could have been THE No1 Consumer Digicam but the results look like badly upsampled G1 pics with added noise ;-) and the less said about the 828 examples posted so far the better, they really DID remind me of big webcam pics ;-)
So am I - we'll have to keep checking Farscape.com and hope it's announced soon

Nice effort. Let's hope we get some feedback from Canon. But wouldn't it be taken more seriously if we signed the petition with our names AND the s/n of the 300D we own?

It's a Rebel Ti, only digital. please please please understand this. It has all the same features of the Rebel Ti. (or 300v)

It doesn't matter to DavidP anyway because he owns neither a 300D or a 10D. He just likes to keep the pot well stirred for his entertainment.

I am asking people who sign the petition for their e-mail:
1) so I can mail them when I leave the petition to Canon
2) so that their e-mail addresses will reach Canon, who will hopefully mail their response to everyone.
I am also asking for the serial number of the camera (although I made this optional in the form). The idea is, as you correctly pointed out, to convince Canon that we are "genuine" 300d owners...
So I you sign the petition with a valid mail address and serial number this information may be forwarded to Canon, but I chose to not make it public on the web page.

I know. Just messin' with you. You know the words that catch my attention.
I can't disagree with you. Why people were relying upon those as indicators of final image quality is truly beyond me.
It was the best scifi programming on television in a long, long time. Quite possibly among THE best programming on television of any genre while it was running. Thank goodness for re-runs.

We had pizza for dinner last night. We ordered a medium, but I think we should have received a large. It was also crippled because it didn't have olives on it. I think the pizza place owes us a large pizza with olives now, because they should never have delivered the product we ordered.

Nobody can argue that it's output is bad......
the images printed are magnificent!!! The tough part.... is the road to that great image at times

When the time comes (and it's coming soon) to drop the Rebel, I'm
going to drop it like a bad habit and move on. There are plenty of
things about it that I'd do differently, some of them probably on
the list of reasons for the petition itself. But when I'm ready to
rid myself of those things and "really" take care of them, then
I'll get a different camera.
Soon.... soon...

I think they knew, but once you find out the features are really there, just hidden with something like this (code of firmware):
