I've decided to get a Lumix GX-85 to use as a travel camera for two upcoming long trips. I'm wanting to get one lens that I can keep on it all the time. I don't need a lens that can be used for telephoto. I'm interested in a lens that is great indoors and can capture quickly any outdoor scenes like buildings, scenery, etc. Thanks for suggestions.

That's easy. The 14-140 mm f/3.5-5.6. It's light, inexpensive, decent quality, has Dual IS, and unless you plan on going birding or taking overview shots of cathedral interiors, covers most common focal lengths. It's the walkabout lens on my G95 at the moment.

Thanks...will jump over to that forum and post...appreciate it.

Either the 14-140mm or the PL 12-60mm.

On a couple of trips in the past couple of years, I brought both the 14-140 and the 12-60 lenses. Much to my surprise, after the trip I found I'd taken 90+% of my photos using the 12-60.

The PL 12-60 is just slightly sharper than the 14-140 (you'll only notice if you do pixel peeping - otherwise it's not an issue), and the slightly wider 12mm was nice for landscape and architecture.

If you don't need the extra zoom length, the 12-60 is a very nice option.

Just a FYI to others that may read this topic; the OP re-posted his question on the

👍 Agree. I used the Olympus Zuiko Digital 12-60mm 1:2.8-4.0 on my Olympus 4/3rds DSLRs; still my favorite general purpose zoom range.
