Any number of images is allowed. Any Nikon camera is allowed. Just stay nice to each other, as you would in real life.

When quoting, consider not repeating the same images to avoid unnecessary scrolling.

Beginner or pro, doesn't matter. This thread is about enjoying photography and perhaps getting constructive feedback - never too late to learn!

Male seagull and mint sauce

Papaver somniferum - opium poppy

I think the insects are hoverflies. This poppy seems very popular with them - are they drug addicts?

Lathyrus latifolius - Everlasting pea

This is a weed growing along a coastal road close to my village. Related to sweetpea and so on.

Coincya monensis - star pepper

1adb1e36222c420fbc702ac27ffe8aed.jpg

This is an attractive weed. Edible - and tastes quite nice.

All images D750; Sigma 180mm macro lens; 2 x SB26 and 1 SB400 flashguns for the flowers, just SB400 for the seagull.

The loungeroom of the future.

In commemoration of World War III generally threatening to kick off, I dusted off and reprocessed this image of a serendipitous collection of objects I found on a vacant lot (since redeveloped into multiple million-dollar-plus all-white Hamptons-style townhouses), and lit with my bike lights.

These are really cool. I really like the aesthetic of cooler, perhaps slightly desaturated tones.

Very unsettling!

Took the family down to the Kelpies, a pair of huge modern metal sculptures located in the Falkirk area of central Scotland. It's located in a recently developed bit of parkland that I suspect used to be a steel or iron works (the area was famous for them).

It was on a Sunday and the place was absolutely heaving with tourists. Full disclosure: I may have used some AI trickery to remove the odd person. I'm not sure where I stand on using AI, but I wanted to try it out and it beats having to come back at some ungodly hour when there are fewer people about!

All taken with the D810 and Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 G2

The Kelpies are constructed next to the Canal (Forth and Clyde). Here is a boat that has seen better days!

And if you think this is pretty wild, it is not much compared to what it looked like in May, 2018, when the large central rock was almost entirely under water:

Here is a one I just finished processing. Although the Empire State Building is far off in the background, it is the reason I took this pic. At the time, I thought I might crop off the foreground but, hey, I was walking the High Line so why not include part of it in the pic?

Just got a new to me D850, so trying it out. Backyard wildlife. Cropped because I was just using the 24-120.

Downloading re-editing/re-touching of my images is prohibited without express permission.
Do you walk into an art exhibit or walk up to an artist at his easel and say "let me see a brush, I'll fix it for you"?
That is ludicrous.

These are all lovely. I'm not sure which one I like most. Maybe number 2!
