It’s all about the zoom

Nice shots. So, how do you like that E 16/2.8 so far?

I have no complaints as I know what I am buying into and I don’t worry to much about soft corners as I’m not a pixel peeper .
I do print a lot up to A3+ and occasionally 20’ by 30’ and it holds up well enough for viewing those images on the wall.

10-18 F4 OSS does historic Church in Chester .. the cam underexposed the first somewhat which I decided not to compensate for and it gained me a bit of shutter speed, I just compensated in Capture one, I did it myself on the second . First time using the real time tracking AF to shoot an interior with a Quirky ultrawide lens (which likes to be focused near one of the edges wider than F8) ..

Lovely images! Brought back good memories. I was in Chester to visit a college roommate.

I wish I had the 10-18, but the 16-50 worked quite well on my A6500. I just processed this in LR & put it through Topaz Photo AI.

We've lived on the water for almost 50 years and had never seen a baby seagull.

At the end of June we noticed a gull had nested in a flower pot on the roof of another floating home about 40 meters from us. a few weeks later two little heads popped up!

About a week later they dropped down onto the deck and two days ago one jumped into the bay. The other is still trying to get up the nerve to take the plunge.

I made a little Google Album that I have been adding to almost every day.

Here is a photo of the day we first saw the two little heads.

I have to crop quite a bit even with a fL of 400 (600 ff)
