Very nice ones, Lance! I do remember the times ... And at least the Sydney harbor panorama is still imprinted in my memory.

Here a random collection of mine, taken through the years from Pentax *ist DS (my first DSLR) up to Pentax K-1 (my last). All posted here in assorted DPR threads. Since I loved to do composites and panos with my Pentax cameras, some of them are included.

I'd like to share this photo from last New Year's eve. It is a special one for me, as it indeed is the last photo my Pentax K10D ever took. After taking this photo, the shutter jammed closed permanently. I couldn't repair it by myself and some repair shops I talked with said it's probably not worthwhile to get it fixed. So, you could say my nearly 15-year journey with the K10D ended with a bang.

I used manual mode, long exposure time and my usual choice, 2M★★ JPEG recording.

Nice set.

Most of the pictures that I have posted here have been flowers or cats, with the occasional bird in the last couple of years. I will skip those photos. I have also posted a few travel photos, so here is one from 2019.

It was a brilliant camera I got its smaller sister k200d. I like the ccd sensor effect " green color ".

It is nice shot by the way.

Hi, Mr Pentaxian of the Year ;)

Long time no see and nice photos! Btw, you are now using Nikon? Still, or have yet changed to another brand? Just curious.

Thank you Lance B I learned a lot from you and your threads. Your photography inspired me to be a better photographer and a better person too.

Dear Lance,

I have been around for quite some time as well and I remember you and now I realize that I also remember some of your photos! The Tiger - I so much wanted to get 60-250 after seeing your photos from that time .. (never bought the lens, first did not have money then later went to FF and got 70-200) ... and the Eyes - I did get 77Ltd at some point :-) .. I think I also remember your harbor shot .. although there were many more back then.

Those were the times when we all got the LBA (at least I did)! It was spreading through the forum :-)

It was sad to see you go to a different brand .. but thanks for stopping by before the end!

Best,

Marek

Hi Marek,

Thank you for your kind post. I hope all is well with you and all the best for the future.

Cheers,
Lance

I love how names I haven't seen in ages keep dropping in. I suppose most here weren't posters before the big rift that lead to Pentax forums taking many of the best posters. Does anybody remember Darrenm and the amazing street photos he took with the Sigma 28 f/1.8? DPR didn't host photo storage back then, and those old threads are mostly just broken links now.

A great photoset, Lance. Thanks for the thread and the memories.
