Self-leveling Tripod.

Not a photog myself (just an amateur retoucher), but ran across this video and thought this is pretty cool. :)
An interesting solution in search of a problem...

Why do you need to level the tripod if you have an inverted head mounted? Very rarely, for multi-row panoramas, etc... But people who do this already use some specialized equipment.

Also, I do not trust those leg locks - seen that lately on some cheap tripods, they look like they may collapse under load.

I use my gimbal mounted atop my tripod. Every shot is perfectly level and vertically straight. This saves a lot of time in real estate photography, plus the tripod is always stable non-adjusting except for height which is handled by a center column.

Don't see what the problem is personally - I just use a levelling head - takes seconds to set up, robust and cheaper.

But I guess it is lighter - my gear head or Gimbal does way a ton.

That tripod looks awfully flimsy BTW. - I guess OK for very light stuff.

Won't be contributing to the Kickstarter program.
