RUMOR - Fujifilm X-T5 won't have battery grip

There is one important piece of information missing (which is the case for most post here but I digress). No one knows how many battery grips were sold for the XT4.
Ok, I've been saying for many days, that not many grips are sold. However, I think I might be wrong.

Fuji rumors did a survey and over 4,000 people responded of which 38% own the grip! That's big. I'm going to leave now with my tail between my legs because the grip guys are obviously very large in number and this truly might be a mistake by Fuji. I apologize to the OP.

"I am a Fujifilm X-T camera user and...
  • No, I do NOT own the battery grip for my X-T camera (62%, 2,763 Votes)
  • Yes, I DO own the battery grip for my X-T camera (38%, 1,698 Votes)
Total Voters: 4,461"

I saw the survey also, but this kind of surveys are completely useless:

1- There isn't any proof people voting own any of those cameras

2- People visiting a rumors website about a camera manufacturer are very involved people. The percentatge of grip owners will be greater than for more casual users

3- You can vote more than once with different users/bots

4- People with grips are more upset about this rumor. They are a lot more motivated to vote

And so on.

Don't give any credit to that survey. It's only to create hysteria and clicks on the website. A thing Fujirumors makes too regularly for my tastes

Edit: Also, the rumor is that the X-T5 won't have a battery grip, but maybe what that means is that it will be compatible with the X-T4 grip
Yeah, I’m not naive, but also I don’t think there were pro-grip bots or one guy voting hundreds of times either. Perhaps the reason he does it is so Fuji can change their mind? Of course he does it for money too. Having the X-T4 grip would be having a battery grip and would be a non story.

I still own an m6.

Leica with m serious basically have the same body since 70 years, while fuji seem quite confused..

Pro need consistency, bodies need evolution, but changing basic functionality and ergonomics at each iteration doesn't seem a great idea
Spot on! Thanks for hitting the nail on the head.
Ok but most “pros” don’t use Leica and which other company hads’t changed their bodies every so often. It was easier to keep everything similar in film. Especially is digital, most change. Get over it. It’s a camera not a space ship. It’s not hard to learn how to use a new camera.
No need to get worked up defending Fuji, I got over it a while ago , which is why I do not own an x-t4, x-pro3 nor x-e4. However, none of that takes away from Kaoticphoto's astute observation.

Both my X-T2's are gripped. But that's because I used to use them for work purposes and didn't want to change batteries at a potential critical time. But I've retired from such work and now just take my X-T2's with out the grip to save weight. I'm usually fine with two batteries when I go out shooting, but then again I don't take 3000+ pictures. So I'll be fine with no grip plus the batter are bigger now.
