As I could see today (3rd of june 2022) european sites of amazon (de, fr, es,it)

doesnt sell canon mirrorless cameras (like the eos rp) from amazon itself , but only via partner sallers . Is it something that happen just nowdays or it was always that way ?

There is a specific reason that I am asking that question .

Any knowledge/information is more than welcome of course !

The Amazon U.K. site doesn't sell any cameras direct.

I was reffering to the citizens of the European Union mostly and the amazon sites that are based in countries of european union. Amazon .de .fr .es .it are selling Nikon , Fuji and Panasonic cameras this moment , but not Canon .

If someone Knows about sales of canon camera in past direct from amazon , it would be usefull for me to know it .

If you mean EU please say that but not "European" in your title. The UK is still an European state last time I looked at a map - just like Switzerland

Confusingly for some, amazon.co.uk is both a European site and serves the Republic of Ireland ( i.e. an EU state ) as well as the UK.

I can't find a way now, to change THE TITLE of the thread . Seems it's not possible.

I also mentioned from the first post, that the thread had to do with amazon .de .fr .it . es

I DIDN'T write anything about amazon.co. uk .

I think you could verify that . I am talking about the european union and countries that trading among them is possible WITHOUT IMPORT TAXES etc.

I am still waiting for any usefull information about canon sales in amazon (de-fr-es-it ONLY ) !

I was intrigued that Amazon U.K. doesn't sell any cameras direct. There must be a reason for that, because Amazon sells lots of electronic products direct. It could be tax related, but there might be other reasons, e.g. supply difficulties at the present time or tough competition. There are strong online camera specialists like Park Cameras and WEX in the UK, so maybe Amazon doesn't try to compete.

Amazon is a worldwide company so, if there are reasons why Amazon doesn't sell cameras direct in the UK, some of those reasons might apply to the rest of Europe as well, even if they only to Canon products at the current time.

Best of luck with your search, but, if you were in the UK, I would recommend buying from one of the online photographic specialists in preference to Amazon.

I am in athens , greece. So after the brexit , it's not good idea at all to buy something from UK. Greek custom is a nightmare that nobody want to face.

Amazon UK is actually registered as a company in the EU or Luxembourg if I remember correctly. This doesn’t alter the adverse tax/duty implications for all UK exports now that we are outside of the EU free trade area of course.

However, the occasional camera is sold direct by Amazon...

"Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.” The other colour options are sold be third parties though.
