Panasonic LX7 - B&W photos of Venice

Nice work, looks like an old movie. I like the 2nd shot mood.

... And just went thru the lx7 manual online and the landscape scene mode makes no mention of invoking any digital anything. ...
Unfortunately for the older LX7 not being noted in the manual be nothing new, I have the Leica C (Typ112) [Leica re-badged LF1]. In the Scenery (Landscape) Mode there's NO mention of i.Zoom being enabled with the Scenery (Landscape) Mode found doing a search for "Scenery" or "i.Zoom" in the PDF manuals for the Leica C (Typ112) or the Panasonic LF1.

In the ZS50 PDF Advanced Features manual the section for the Scenery (Landscape) Mode nothing noted as to i.Zoom being enabled. With a "i.Zoom" search I did find a 'general note': "[i.Zoom] always functions in [Intelligent Auto] mode and [Scene Mode] (except[Handheld Night Shot], [HDR], [High Sens.], [3D Photo Mode])"
... So makes no diff, but I'll stick with believing the image was shot at 90mm.
Just curious as to the cause the heavy JPG artifacts throughout the image if i.zoom not used, and the image's EXIF Data.

Jon,

I do agree that it could have been shoot in IZoom, as the LX7 usually would do a better job, but it was a very unusual early morning, weather wise, and I don't know how wet fog and near 100% humidity could have affected the photographing of the scene.

Regardless, I love the original image and have enjoyed others' interpretations on it as well.

Best,

TFP
