Hi everyone
mom aware there are some very old threads around this issue but none seemed to have reached any resolution.
I have owned a xt30 for a couple of years with no problems at all.
I just bought an x100v (second hand) and whilst playing around I noticed than when shooting into a bright window and lowering the exposure compensation in order to get correct exposure in the brightest part of the window (so the inside of the room becomes very dark), the resulting image is completely over exposed as if the camera tried to brighten it up so the room is visible again.
m the preview in the evf is showing the expected result but this is not matched in the resulting image taken.
trying exact same thing with xt30 and evf/resulting shot are a perfect match and exactly as expected (the image shows a correctly exposed window and outside sky and a completely dark room).
any one has any idea?
id like to preempt that I understand how an histogram work but in previous threads many people seem to think you can’t trust an evf etc. I just don’t buy this. On my xt 30 the image you see once you half press in the evf and lcd is basically exactly what you get on a computer screen.
I think that’s a clear feature of mirror less cameras.
so I guess either I have a faulty camera or more likely there’s some settings I just can’t figure out.
