Thank you, Courtney. This is the photograph that came straight from my camera, all I did was crop the bottom a bit.

I guess soWow! I guess that's where the lyrics “Home, home on the range, where the deer and the antelope play!” came from.Yes Prong Horned Antelope which I read once that they were the 1st large mammals native to the UsThese are great. Are the long-faced animals antelope? I like the log structure, even if it’s roof is long gone! At first I thought the front opening was the door, but it looks too short. We never learned much about the 1st native mammals in school. We did have a whole unit on dinosaurs in sixth grade, as well as the wooly mammoth. But learning about the animals that came after would have been interesting.
This one's a keeper.
Thank you, Grant! Things are going good for us.This one's a keeper.
I hope things are going well for every one at your place.
Grant.
What a bunch of cuties!!
iPnone cameras are surprisingly good these days - mine is still not up to the results of a real camera, but quite usable for snapshot stuff.
My niece and I finally finished it! It took just under four years, and editing to the point where I finally said to myself, “Good enough.”I guess soWow! I'm betting she wanted her belly rubbed?Thank you, Grant! Things are going good for us.This one's a keeper.

Grant.
It took me a couple tries to get a decent photo of Allie in this pose. I took it from above, but not directly because it would cast a shadow. Then I had to wait for her to hold still at the right moment.![]()

post the frames and I'll stack em for you David right out of camBaloo's newOutfit walked in with seeds between his toes. Had to wipe him down. Here he is shaken and baken.
His ears actually function like a whip. They effectively hurl ticks and such in all directions. He can do that also after he dips his head in the creek to catch fish.
Baloo has a chip in his lip which is loaded with essential metadata; just hidden under the surface.
Catch you folks later. An optometrist wants to look in my eye, again. Thought he'd spotted some dust on the offending sensor.
Meta data disappears when stacking for HDR.

The moving parts can be fixed!!!!

Ha! I think I'll stick with towels. You try tha tGreg and send us a photo

Brings back memories of my visit to the Emergency room in 2019 for my right knee which I overused/abused while taking pics in China Town during the Lunar New Year having forgotten that I was no longer 40 or even 50 years old. It got so painful after a few days despite my attempt at remedies like ice packs, pain killers, rest, etc. that I feared something had broken or fractured so I decided to visit the emergency room of the nearby hospital, basically hopping on 1 leg to get there. (I had a problem with the same knee in 2004 but at the back and the pain slowly eased over 4 or 5 months and after I started taking supplements for joints so thought I could do the same) Long story short, got there at 2pm, had to provide same insurance info twice to 2 separate staff, finally got a bed and then they finally took me to the xray room at 8:30pm which was at one end of the hospital.. No gurney or wheel chair so I had to hop along with the nurse, technician took xrays of my knee and ankle then I hopped back ..... it was quiet in the Emergency room by then and the night shift doctor was there at his desk and he saw me go by. No beds available for me (though I saw 2 empty ones) so I sat in a chair while awaiting the results of the xray. Results came back close to 10pm, nothing broken or cracked but severe osteoarthritis .. the nurse said he'd ask the doctor to see me after he did the report. Doctor never came, nurse was very apologetic and he gave me a signed copy and wrapped my knee slowly so that I could see how it was done. He suggested that I should visit their rehab dept to see what could be done. The wrap helped a lot (plus the knowledge that nothing was broken really was a relief) and I slowly shuffled home. When I got up the next day I read the report and it was for my left knee (!!!) .. guess the doctor had other things in his mind. Never went back to the hospital for rehab .. later heard from others that it is the worst hospital to be sent to and one even told me to insist on going to another hospital if I ever had to get on an ambulance. Sad thing was, when I mentioned mistake while handing over a copy of the report to the doctor (he insisted) who I mainly saw for acupuncture that doctor glared at me and basically said "so what". Yeah seems doctors will be protective of each other. His acupunture for the knee did not work.I did a web search for stroke symptoms, found enough of a match to be reasonably sure about it, went to my room and packed a bag, then woke the lady of the house and told her I needed her to get me to the hospital because I was having a stroke. The next hospital with emergency service did not have a stroke unit and the emergency doctor and nurse phoned around figuring out where they could find one, with the nurse repeatedly taking over the phone because the doctor was having language difficulties (they actually wanted to diagnose me with word finding difficulties but both of us told the nurse that this was just my normal measured speaking habits). That probably took significantly more than an hour.It is a good feeling to know someone who can help is closeby or at least a phone call away. I've been quite sick before many years ago bedridden for a week and it is really really bad. The thing with being alone is sometimes I don't know how sick I am getting because I tend to adjust mentally, at least until there is no room left to adjust. I know of at least 3 single folks who got sick and were not rescued until at least a day later. One died from a heart attack in his apt, another had seizures (he had another months later on the street) and another had a stroke. (She was from Burma, her married sister who was in Malaysia took her there to take care of her). In all 3 the police or fire department had to break down the door to get in. Sometimes it makes me want to get one of those LifeAlert things.
Definitely. But yes, living alone would have made this a significantly worse situation.
Though a friend of mine living alone was still able to call an ambulance and was able to get in by himself, too. So living alone did not make all that much of a difference for him, even though he did not make it out alive again. He had an aneurism, and it would be my guess they gave him blood thinners as the best-guess emergency treatment given stroke symptoms. They probably could not have saved him either way.
Allie is four years old today! No new photos, but here’s a recent video of Sammy and Allie playing together. Sammy always makes these funny talking noises while they’re playing.
Edit: Apparently the option to imbed my YouTube video is only available on my iPad, and not my iPhone.
