DXO lowered score for EOS R5

The score for the EOS R5 was lowered to 93, with sports score (high iso) below 2000 now. What happened??
I almost said 0 out of 10, but since DXO's camera scores aren't actually out of 100 or any other maximum, I though "?" was more appropriate.

DXO scores are literally less than useless. Because they present the appearance of objectivity, they are actively deceptive and therefore go beyond neutral and into the realm of damaging.

The only use I've gotten from DXO are their lens comparisons. I assume they test lenses in a standardized way, so comparing those test results can give one an idea of relative differences.

Their opinions on sensors don't even register to me as something to look at.

Perhaps they had a pre-publication 1.5.0 firmware upgrade...

I want some of whatever Mike the OP is smoking.

Here is what's on the site: https://www.dxomark.com/canon-eos-r5-sensor-review-a-high-water-mark/

If I'm looking to go full frame and sell my old 80D with quite a mix of many EF and EFS lenses, should this concern me? One reason I think I should go full frame aside from seeing nothing in the horizon from Canon APS-C system is image quality of course. How credible are DXO scores? What I see as feedback from the net seems divided.

No.

They're not. Some good stuff in their testing, but the scores are effectively meaningless - dumbing down writ large.

Even with the lowered score, even if it meant something, the r5 is still a great camera. Why would you even have a concern?

According to dxo S1R is rated higher than r5, really?

If I was pushed I'd say R5 is better than A1 and again dpr sample images also appear to demonstrate this!

Yeah based on that evidence it's hard to ignore the party is for the Z7II and R5 leaving the A1 and S1R behind.

Name the gear and I've probably owned it and used it.

I don't know what noise dxo is measuring but it's hard to ignore the visual results do not concur with their findings! The S1R is particularly bad and Z7ii scores less than the R5 lol

Overall it's hard to give DXO any credibility for comments like this when it just doesn't stack up!
