After a while sulking from covid hibernation , I took the old mirror slapper for a quick snap out the window......... it still works. Quite happy to hang on to the old tech for a while.

Gear ... what I need to get the job done , after all you don't see mechanics listing their brand of spanner as a qualification .

I have walked in others shoes, I much prefer my own Berluti's ! ..

that mirror slapper happens to be a great camera that have seen and own in a long time, Ken. all you have to do is to look at that bird's color rendition in posted photo. mirror slapping in that camera (5DsR) don't bother me one bit :-)

100% rendition
100% rendition

Colours have a lot more punch on screen in original Pro Photo 16 bit.

Ken, have you pushed the color saturation a click or two during PP?

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!

This is taken from an archive original , which has little added . I do this because I would never archive, or for that matter use hyped up over saturated images. I tend to find if anything is needed it is often better done in an adjustment layer in Photoshop, using the vibrance adjustment layer.

That old slapper is one of my favorites. It will remain in my bag until it just won’t slap anymore. Then it goes into my display collection.

Some wildlife images ...... Holy _ -_-_ those photos on your site are quite astounding.

The 5DS R is so highly regarded that mint used examples are starting to sell over the new price before it was discontinued!

I recently picked up a 5DSR and love it. Its autofocus isn't quite as robust as the 5D4's is, but it feels great in the hand and returns amazing images. As it is only six year old now, I was thrown off by your lead, expecting it to be about the 5D or even an older camera.
