I have both a GM5 and a Pen. Was surprised at how close (relatively) the EP-7 is in size compared to the Pen. I use my GM5 as a second body to my M5MkIII. But if/when it dies, what to do? I initially thought the E-P7 could assume that role, and it still might. Time will tell.
But the more interesting thing is to think about what the combination of the E-P7 and the 8-25 says about the new enterprise. A lens that is admittedly large but very complex and high end. Very Pro. And a smaller camera that incorporates 5 axis IBIS and the 20 mP sensor. And it looks pretty classy. If those reflect the two paths of the new enterprise going forward, that's a plan. It's certainly more thoughtful than Olympus Imaging's "throw spaghetti at the wall and hope something sticks" approach.
We'll probably know more in a couple of years, but as of today, I'm taking the glass half full approach.
