Welcome to The Weekly Image Thread

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT) and is open for submissions and discussions about images and processing techniques until the next Saturday, or the new thread is started. If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

  1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
  2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
  3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
  4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
  5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.
Thanks for joining and contributing this week.

Outdoors picking up fallen branches so I can cut the grass in the 'forest'. About another 2 h or so left when we have more nice weather. Today was over 20 C and sunny by afternoon!

peony, they are growing now but no flowers yet

red bud, in bloom now but it got frosted a week or so ago so the flowers are rather sparse this year.

Nice, Andrew. All I have is some Japanese maples leafing out and some crappy bushes coming in. Man, I have to get the yard work before the plants take over. And the pressure washing. First finish the interior house painting. Anybody want to go up a 24-foot ladder? It isn't that I don't want to...or it's unsafe over 70 or anything.

It took years to grow that bench.

Who doesn't love a paeonie, Andrew ? Can be quite tricky to get flowering well and they don't last long but they are wonderful plants

Nicely captured too. Waiting for our to flower. It's been a bit chilly

Lovely to see these Andrew. I'm getting impatient waiting for something to appear in our garden.

Dave

Beautiful flowers Rich and nicely photographed. I'm still waiting for our flowers to appear. Good to see Tufty is still around.

Thanks dave. Yes Tufty is feeding the squeakers in her nest still

That’s a large greenhouse you have there Rich - here there wasn't a day without frost in April - no wonder we left Europe you are keeping all the good weather to yourselves!

Mine sometimes skip a year or two for reasons unknown.

Loves chomping down on lily pads as soon as they turn green.
