I was looking at online deals for Tamron lens and found gadgetward.com with the cheapest price. I did communicate with them and came to know that they are selling international goods, but the most impressive part is their warranty, they offer a 7 yrs warranty on Tamron and sigma lens. I frequently buy camera goods from the US and China but never received 7 yrs warranty. Now, I found the same deal in Canada with 7 yrs warranty, but the question is website is new. So, was wondering that anyone has experience with gadgetward? On another side they offer PayPal, so basically I am safe with purchase. But, wanted to double-check.

Never heard of them. Be really careful. I use e-Infinity out of Hong-Kong all the time and they have never let me down.

I agree with that, especially because they offering a 7 year warranty. That sounds to me like a gimmick to draw customers in. The warranty is going be from them and is only worth anything if they stay in business and honour the warranty.

The user reviews on trustpilot are all from first time reviewers and the oldest is from only three weeks ago. They are probably fakes.

Personally I would pay a bit more to buy from a reputable seller.

In the USA, Tamron already offers a 6-year warranty so maybe a 7-year warranty isn't so astounding. Sigma offers a 4-year warranty.

The last time I bought a Tamron lens, you had to register the lens with Tamron to get 6-years of coverage (I think it was only 1-2 years without registration). I don't know if that's still true.

Actually they are offering paypal, so placed order and amazingly shipped yesterday as they mentioned on their website. Now let's see how the product is. If anything goes wrong, I am protected with Paypal.

Thank you for reply, I will check that website too. I support Canadian Local Small Businesses and always give first chance to them.

I received my lens from gadgetward from Hong Kong. Brand New and 100% trustable. I personally recommend this company for my photography needs. Received on 3rd day from Hong Kong which is the most attractive part.

Cdn business from HK?

Afraid i have become too critical of the internet but it seems odd that your new posts are only to ask and praise this startup...

Maybe Dropshipping Business. Or the current Ontario effect. As long as they have local support, that is enough in the current time. Especially in my case, purchase cost also matters along with product quality. I did verify the lens with Tamron with serial number and it is an authentic lens, so nothing to worried about it. My purchase was secured and after verification, I am double sure about their genuinity.

I am looking at this website for a Tamron 70-180. The grey market price is $260 CAD lower than Canada retail price. Did some research, it seems the company still working well, and quite responsive.

If we buy the grey market lens personally, we have to send the lens back to China for warranty repair. That is around $100-$200 shipping one way. Sending to a local address can be $20-$50 depending on insurance. When they get a good contract with the carriers, this pattern seems work.

The lens quality of Sigma and Tamron are improved quite a bit for the recent lenses. This pattern can work only if the lens quality is good enough to last 7 years. The problem can rise at 5-7 years. They should have some level of repair service in Canada,

The grey market third party lens, is a small market. They're really a small company, just eat a little bit into the small-by-themselves markets. Not sure on other electronics though.

I am still looking in local. If I can get a second hand but like new copy in local, I'll skip it. But still it is a good alternative.

A bit late in replying now as Gadgetward has since ceased trading. However, I was wondering who paid the VAT on the lens you bought?
